At last, a coat check for the subway

Filed under: Uncategorized — David Schaengold @ 10:43 am

Few questions are less interesting than “What Is Art?” but this impromptu art-gallery-in-the-subway act is pretty cool

We tried to include all of the normal elements you might encounter at a posh art gallery opening. Agent Harms and Agent Good dressed in tuxedos and managed the coat rack and bar, respectively. We even had a ticket system for the coat rack, ensuring our patrons would get their garments back correctly

Blessedly, these guys don’t seem to take what they’re doing too seriously. They reposted the placards describing each artwork on Tuesday. I’ll have to get up to New York next week and see if they’re still there. (via Kottke)
