Ivy-League Agrarianism

One Harvard scholar has taken the Ivy League’s well-known bullsh*t problem to new extremes of literalism. Harvey Cox, whose endowed chair  was created in the 1700s and carries with it the right to graze cattle on Harvard Yard, brought a cow to campus last week to make a point about environmental responsibility. In the video below, Cox talks about why reconnecting our country’s most elite institutions with the humble processes of food production might be a good idea.

  1. I can think of other eighteenth century, pre-Emersonian Harvard traditions worth reinstating.
